14 And God said, let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. Genesis 1:14-15 (KJV).
This is quoted from the first book of the Christian Bible, in Genesis. It is clearly stated that the “lights” in the firmament and heaven are for signs and seasons for days and for years. Although all modern and ancient cultures use calendars to mark the seasons, we have come to disregard the signs and wisdom of the stars for either fear of its power or through the invalidation of its sacred wisdom due to the power of modern science and our rational linear left brained dominant minds.
In researching many major civilizations, I found that Astrology is a common thread that binds us all. From the ancient Hindu traditions to the American Indians, from the Egyptian culture to the Mayans, from the ancient Sumerians to the Chinese, from the Africans to the Hellenistic Rome, the study of the stars and the planetary movements have captivated our attention as we collectively strive to understand our connection to All That Is.
Long ago Astronomy and Astrology was one field of science. However, as we entered the modern age of the rational linear mind, there was a split (schism) and Astronomy became the conclusive science and Astrology a pseudoscience for either the soothsayers or the gullible. Stonehenge, the ancient Pyramids, and the Mayan Calendar are just a few examples of our organic connection to the unseen forces and celestial movements at work in our daily lives.
Most modern societies will not entertain the idea that humanity is more than physical bodies with chemical processes that eventually cease living. In fact, when modern scientific devices cannot measure something, then it is perceived as neither valid nor true (because it is outside of their comfort zone and collective perceptual control).
Early scientists, like Copernicus, Galileo, Kepler, Newton, Tesla and Einstein were all forerunners in facilitating change in the collective illusion of such egocentricity. Galileo had to run for his life while Newton Einstein was exonerated for their theories that fit nicely into the preconceived notions of the day. But the fact is, that both of these scientists as well as the famous psychologist Carl Jung all practiced Astrology and wrote about it openly. Where are their findings? Why do we not hear about how Astrology can be utilized effectively as a tool for self-awareness and our connection to the Universe?
Astrology is an ancient art and science that connects humanity to the sound, light, and vibration of the Solar System. We have been connected since the moment of Big Bang/Creation (same event) I suppose if the common people are empowered, they would be much more difficult to control.
During the appropriately named dark ages of our history, they systematically wiped out all those who did not conform to the rule of the state and empire. What followed was a fanatical genocide of millions in the name of the god that instilled deep insidious fears in the collective psyche. We held drastic mental contrasts between Spirit and the Matter as we entered the Age of Reason and Rationalism of the 17th Century and Nihilism of the 19th Century.
These schools of thought methodically severed our connection to the Divine: to Nature. Our duality nature was thus exonerated and enforced as the intensity of distortion grew among the nations. Nothing less than the integration of all perceived opposites will resolve our global issues. When we widen the lense and perceive that opposites are actually compliments of the other, integration is inevitable. To continue separation into classes, nations, races, sexes etc… is dehumanizing and beneath our true nature. It is time to witness the old paradigm pass away and remember Astrology preceded Astronomy, as Alchemy preceded Chemistry.
Perception is reality and it WILL evolve as we do.
